Objectives and Tasks

The German Society for Liquid Scintillation Spectrometry (DGFS eV) was founded in 2001 at the

Karlsruhe Research Center (today KIT Campus Nord) with the aim of promoting research, development

and exchange of experiences in the field of Liquid Scintillation Spectrometry (LSS). This is done in particular by the following actions:

Organization and participation in international congresses in the field of Liquid Scintillation

Spectrometry.

Promoting young talents and teaching in the field of Liquid Scintillation Spectrometry.

Publication of research and development results.

Preparation of measurement instructions.

Establishment of a specialized library.

The DGFS eV supports its members and researches in the field of LSS by offering lectures, meetings, educational journeys and international exchange of experience, as well as the issuing of scientific publications and measuring instructions.
